Yea, I can just see the comments coming this art piece's way.
"What, another Archie Sonic/Ian bash poster? Can't you ever lay off of him?"
Sorry, but this is one I'm not letting go.
Even though I mentioned this in my journal entry, I've done some more research on this and discovered Ian has actually changed the Archie Sonic continuity 3 times the past year.
That is pretty bad if you ask me.
First example, as I mentioned, he molded Geoffrey into a Ixis wizard, when there was not even one mention of this in his backstory from before.
It might have been tolerable had Ian shown Geoffrey learning these powers after he lost Hershey to help combat his grief. But no... Ian actually decides to make it so he got them from childhood, where he just HAPPENED to have a connection to Ixis back then.
Yea, right!
Secondly, Bunnie being deroboticized.
Back in Super Sonic Special #11, Dr. Quack clearly stated if Bunnie got the cybernetic upgrades, THERE WAS NO POSSIBILITY OF EVER BEING DEROBOTICIZED!
But what does Ian do? He says, "Screw that! I'm going to have Ixis Naugus just wave his magic wand over her and she'll be fixed better than ever."
And poof. she's now deroboticized.
That... is truly pathetic. I mean, seriously, there are no words to describe how disgusting that process was.
No logical behind it, no proper explanation, just a deroboticized Bunnie.
For shame...
And now, the real big one.
Are you ready for this?
The roboticization of Sally Acorn.
That's right, her roboticization was going against the past continuity too.
Let me explain.
For those who didn't read the earlier issues, there was a group of space aliens called the BEM
Now, the BEM, according to the comic were the first ones to have the roboticizer and deroboticizer.
Anyway, a scientist, named Ceneca-9009 was ordered to roboticize the entire Mobius population.
But she defied their orders and instead deroboticized them, even giving them an immunity to it.
Did you catch that part? Immunity to roboticization. That includes Sally.
Of course, some are going to argue, "Hey, Robotnik's Genesis program wiped that out immunization, so it's no more."
Nice theory, except there's one major flaw with that argument.
If it is true Genesis wiped out all the Bem immunity, then someone tell me why Sonic and Eggman WERE NOT ROBOTICIZED WITH SALLY? Or for that matter, Snively and Lien-Da too?
We all saw in 230 the beam went through the entire Death Egg, or least the part where Sonic and Eggman were standing.
So why were they not roboticized as well? Can anyone of you explain that to me?
I'll tell you why they weren't, BECAUSE IAN CHOSE TO IGNORE IT!
He wanted to roboticize Sally for the sake of another pathetic shock value story, pure and simple.
Again, If the Bem effects were gone, then there is no way Sonic and Eggman shouldn't have been immune to it either.
And if they still had them, then so should have Sally.
You cannot have it both ways here. No if, ands or buts about it.
So what we have here, everyone, is a fanboy who's decided to change the rules to fit his own story.
How Archie Comics allowed this travesty is beyond me.
I guess they don't care if the comic is being molded the way Ian wants it.
Anyway, for those who want to call me crazy and just a conspiracist, I suggest you read the Archie Sonic wiki about this info I typed up.
This is part of where I got my research from.
But *clears throat* I know you diehard Ian fans are still going to stick by him, even if you know what I'm saying is true.
So, please, go ahead and fire away your flaming comments about how stupid and obnoxious I am for calling a spade a spade.
You know, your little outburst is nothing short of humorous I have to say.
And besides, what does that have to do with this poster?
This is calling out Ian for thinking he can change continuity to fit his abysmal story. Why don't you actually read the description of the submission instead of jumping to conclusions next time?
Oh, and here's what really makes your outburst so humorous: It will end yet again with, "The good always win."
Worse yet, they're going to win even more anti-climatically than before when it's all said and done.
That's what happens when you have a hack head writer who doesn't give a crap about continuity, but his own ego.
Flynn is writing this story because he wants to leave his mark on the book, not because he's trying to give the fans a dynamic story that's well written and developed.
Don't forget the ret-con that that both Mina and Mighty both got their powers from Mammoth Mongol as kids.
Or destroying Knothole, and 'what luck' Nicole just happened to have another one built and ready to go.
Also the Bunnie one wouldn't be so bad if it had actually gone somewhere. Like maybe she starts wearing some kind of tech suit or using laser guns. But no. She just leaves.
As for why. My guess is they want the comics to be more like the games. which means removing characters not in the games like Bunnie, Antoine, and Rotor.
I wasn't a fan of bunnies redesign, I didnt like the cybernetic replacment story from the special, but this is just un f***ing acceptable. I could accept the past problems I had seen but to turn around and say "whoops WE WERE WERONGED" and wave a magic fix-it-stick around and change PREVIOUSLY STATED facts and say "MAGIC, I DONT HAVE TO EXPLAIN SHIT!!!!" is going to far
Seriously! It's like they just want it for shock value! It didn't even make any sense! She is just magically better, then Antoine almost dies, and btw WTF IS WITH THE TAILS DOLL?! I was like
